In August 2015, Isaac and Annabelle Mukisa embarked on a significant journey by officially establishing The Remnant Generation as a registered organization. Prior to its formal registration, the initiative operated as a youth outreach ministry, engaging with churches, schools, and communities to advocate for positive choices among the youth. The core message centred around the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus as the catalyst for real change.
The organization gained momentum and purpose through continuous exposure trips, both locally and internationally, focusing on addressing issues related to crisis pregnancies and supporting teen mothers. As The Remnant Generation expanded its reach, Isaac and Annabelle encountered a recurring question from supporters: “You are doing commendable work with mothers; what about boys, men, and fathers?” This inquiry became a compelling call from God, one that they initially shelved until the onset of the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
During this period, reports surfaced of escalating instances of abuse within homes and communities, often involving male perpetrators. This revelation prompted the launch of Fathers Arise, a program initiated under the umbrella of The Remnant Generation. It became evident that the needs of this program were distinct and unique, leading to the decision to establish dedicated offices and structures to ensure its growth and success.
Since its inception, Fathers Arise has made a profound impact, engaging with 213 boys, men, and fathers collectively. Notably, 83 boys have received training in woodworking, with ongoing efforts in progress. Some participants have secured job placements, while others have successfully established their businesses. Additionally, several individuals from the program have taken on leadership roles by planting churches and actively contributing to the disciple-making process.
The journey of The Remnant Generation and the establishment of Fathers Arise stand as a testament to the organization’s commitment to holistic transformation, addressing the diverse needs of individuals within communities and fulfilling its mission to empower and uplift those it serves.
